[ Wall and gateway shown in previous posts finished off. I used a mid-grey dry brushed brown for the exterior stonework; the rear and sides of the tower are from a paper sheet I made up; wall walkway done using Metcalfe paving sheet]

A bit further along - decided to fill the gaps and restore the stonework as needed to the sides of the towers, matching the look of the original Playmobil walls as close as I could

Fort or Town wall - (WIP)

A bit of a bash around project is ongoing at the moment - a fortress/town wall and gate for the romans using Playmobil castle parts.

I set up the parts how I wanted to use them - wall sections with a central gate and side towers. The gateway I made some time back but tried to use it with some different wall sections - but it never looked right.

 I decided the side towers should be used as a structural core padded out with foam board as needed to have a platform and a rear walkway.

basic build done now to get the gaps suitable filled and the gateway tower having side doors and better windows.

tidying up .....

The only problem with 'bring a shield and old weapon' parties is tidying up afterwards....

Watchtower Pallisade - completed

New pallisade sections now painted up, shown below with the watchtower - some much needed supplies are being delivered

A bit further along; the construction of the new sections is finished - the gate slides into place between the upright pallisade logs (lazy me). Now have to get some filler into the gaps then on to painting ...

Watchtower Pallisade - WIP

Having managed to source some more Timpo fort section pieces off Ebay I've been able to start work on the pallisade for the watchtower. I used some of my existing sections and I'm building  4 new small corner pieces and a section with a gate.
