The detachment of the legion had left their headquarters at Condimentium and are marching to take up quarters in Botulinum - it is hoped their presence may quell the local unrest among the gallic tribes.
Are they marching into an ambush as they march through the woods outside of Botulinum? And is that smoke they see hanging, almost motionless, in the air above their destination?
